The Process

We'll get to know each other through a meeting, either in-person or virtually to discover your tastes, lifestyle, budget, decor requirements and spatial dimensions. This takes approximately 1 to 2 hours depending on your needs. You will be required to submit photographs and dimensions of the space for E-Design services. 

In 2 to 3 weeks, you will receive your personalized Concept Board that depicts the style, colour scheme and the major elements of the Design Plan. This will typically be a digital document but can include samples by mail or meeting In-Person. Any tweaks of the design will be made at this time. After that, you will receive your detailed Product List and 3D Floor Plan in about two weeks.

The rest is up to you! The Product List is your detailed shopping guide to purchase  new pieces and your 3D Floor Plan is the map to turn the vision into reality. Work at your own pace but keep in mind that some items may only be in stock for 3 to 6 months. 

We'll briefly get to know each other and discuss the spaces you want to decorate, redecorate, or decorate for an event and your timeline. The project may be as small as zhushing one room or (re)decorating an entire floor or house. This is approximately a 10 - 15 minute phone call.  We'll set a date and time for an initial walkthrough your space. 

We'll meet in your home to determine the Design Plan. We'll take stock of the elements and pieces you love, the ones you want to replace, and the ones you want to add. Design advice will be offered on the spot. We'll take the necessary measurements and photos to complete the Design Plan. We'll finalize our style, Scope of Work, if formal drawings are needed, & timeline. Finally, we will determine responsibilities for any work to be done, such as, painting, lighting, and sourcing new pieces. 

New pieces, elements, or work required will be sourced and completed, after which, all the pieces and accessories are installed and styled for you to enjoy! This day could be in a week or months down the road depending on the timeline and amount of artisans, skilled trades, and orders needed.

After our initial contact, we'll conduct an in-depth interview either virtually or in-person to learn more about the space, your lifestyle and budget. We'll determine whether your are working with or have hired an architect or general contractor depending on the Scope of Work. This is approximately a 30 to 60 minute meeting depending on the Scope of Work to be done. We'll set a date and time for an initial walkthrough your space. 

We'll meet in your home to discuss the Design Plan. We'll take the necessary measurements and photos to complete the Design Plan. We'll finalize our style, Scope of Work and Timeline. Finally, we will discuss project management and contractor responsibilities. If a large scale renovation is in the works, architectural and engineering plans and permits should be secured or close to completed before moving to the next phase.

Concept Boards, 3D Floor Plans and Elevations, including Lighting and Power and Commutations Plans as needed, will be presented to you In-Person. We will discuss the Design Plan, budget and whether any modifications need to be made. After these revisions are made, we will sign the final Design Plan.

The necessary pieces and elements will be sourced, while renovation work will be contracted out. Permits, orders, artisans and skilled tradespeople take anywhere from two weeks to 6 or more months depending on customization, transportation and demand.  

Orders will be placed and managed while renovations are being completed. You are responsible for receiving and storing large scale items as warehousing for large items is not available at this time. You are also responsible for moving large items into their correct spaces. Many companies offer a White Glove Delivery Service that includes assembly if you are not interested in moving large pieces into their correct spots. Major appliances will be delivered and installed by professionals.

After renovations are complete, the final art and accessories will be installed and styled. You may choose to be part of the process or to be out for this day to get the final "Reveal Day" feeling. Finally, you can revel in your new space!
